Knights Interceptor - Scratchbuild
Published by Studio on Saturday 19th of June 2010
The 1:72 Knight's interceptor scratchbuild is now in progress.
After drawing up some plans, with research from screen-grabs and Revell's very nice 1:24 'Easy Kit', styrene has been cut, and a few odds and ends assembled.
The heat dissipators were the first part assembled, but it's quite possible that they will be rebuilt in a slightly more detailed format. A knight and a fully detailed cockpit are envisioned. A new vac-former will help greatly in creating the unusual and challenging canopy! Here's some progress on various components, including a favourite jedi knight pilot
The use of a dental forming machine helped with the difficult shapes of the cockpit, as well as custom photoetch for some of the details.
